Comienza la instalación de una nueva tubería principal de agua en Menlo Park

The project includes the installation of 2,277 feet of new 8-inch PVC water main and is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete. Crews will also install six new fire hydrants and 38 new individual service connections as part of the project. Installation will take place on Menlo Oaks Avenue, from Arlington Way to Coleman Avenue, and on Arlington Way, from Coleman Avenue to Madison Way.

"This important infrastructure upgrade will enable us to continue delivering a reliable supply of safe, high-quality drinking water to our customers, both now and for years to come. Additionally, it will help first responders protect the community in the event of an emergency," said District Manager Dawn Smithson. "These proactive investments in our water system are an important part of our promise to deliver quality, service, and value to Menlo Park residents and businesses, both now and for decades to come."

Crews will make every effort to minimize traffic delays during construction, which will be performed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Following installation, crews will conduct water quality testing and connect individual service lines to the new water main. Water service will be temporarily interrupted for one to two hours as crews connect customers' service lines to the main. Cal Water will notify residents in advance of any planned shutdowns, which are normally scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Crews will also restore all streets, sod, and landscaping impacted by the construction.
