7 de mayo Festival de concientización sobre el agua en Selma

This Water Awareness Month, Cal Water will host a free community festival on Wednesday, May 7 in Selma, to help customers learn about their water, changes they can make this spring to reduce summer water usage, and whether they qualify for financial assistance or monthly discounts.

"This is a chance to educate our customers about everything we do to provide them safe, clean, and reliable tap water and support them in their choices to save water every day," said Mike Andrada, Selma Local Manager. "We offer conservation rebates and programs to help Cal Water customers reduce their water use. Spring is the perfect time to make changes before summer, when water usage tends to be highest thanks to landscaping and irrigation."

The family-friendly event, which will take place from 4-7 p.m. at Lincoln Park Plaza at the corner of Mill Street and McCall in Selma, will be a celebration with music, food, root beer floats, raffles, and more. Cal Water customers who attend the event can also participate in an opportunity drawing for a high-efficiency clothes washer. High-efficiency washers use 35-50 percent less water and approximately 50 percent less energy than traditional washers.
